What do school counselors actually do?
School counselors work with students, families, and teachers to help students grow and achieve academic, career, and social/emotion success. School Counselors do this through direct and indirect services facilitated through small groups, individual counseling, classroom guidance lessons using school counseling core curriculum standards, and creating and advocating for student supports in classrooms.
